GIVE

Real examples of community support helped CAA to:

  • Keep the heat on for a local veteran who just adopted his grandchildren

  • Help a young survivor of domestic violence earn her GED so that she could become a nurse to help others

  • Give a family the support they needed to find their forever home

  • Fill up a tank of gas so that a young dad could make it to a job interview to support his growing family

When you support Union-Snyder CAA, you are providing community to people when they need it most.

ABOUT FAMILIES IN CRISIS FUND

Several years ago, a local lawyer and champion for the low income community came to Union-Snyder CAA with a portion of his family estate that was requested to be distributed as beneficiaries saw fit. His prior experience advocating for local families living in low income showed him that several families' needs too often fall through the cracks of strict - and specific - funding. He knew that help was needed to meet the unexpected and everyday needs of life: clothing, gas, hygiene products, etc.

It was from there that he established the Families in Crisis Fund with Union-Snyder CAA. Still being used to this day, the Fund provides immediate solutions to unexpected challenges that our customers face: from purchasing this month's pack of formula for their newborn baby, to purchasing required clothing for a new job, and everything in between.

All individual donations will be donated directly to the Families in Crisis Fund, ensuring that we can continue this service to even more families in Union and Snyder Counties who are working hard at overcoming barriers to self-sufficiency and economic stability.
