Union-Snyder CAA works in partnership with local utility companies to help families living with low-income pay their bills during the coldest months of the year. We also offer crisis assistance year round. If you live in Union or Snyder County and you need help with your energy costs, please call us at (570) 374-0181 for more information.

PPL Electric Programs

PPL OnTrack Payment Program

OnTrack offers PPL customers affordable payment and debt forgiveness. Payments are based on gross income, household size, and energy use at the property for income-qualified customers who are having difficulty paying their electric bill.

To apply, click the button below and mail completed application to 713 Bridge Street, Suite 10, Selinsgrove, PA 17870. Income cannot exceed 150% of poverty, according to the Federal Poverty Guidelines.

PPL Operation Help (OpHelp)

PPL OpHelp assists customers that have difficulties paying their bill as a result of hardship and/or limited income through energy assistance grants, if available at the time of need. This program is supported by donations from PPL customers, employees, and PPL corporation.

PPL Security Deposit Waiver Program

Union-Snyder CAA may be able to assist customers that have a difficulty paying their PPL security deposit on a new account or new address. For more information on the PPL Security Deposit Waiver Program, please call us at (570) 374-0181.

UGI ​Utilities Programs

UGI Customer Assistance Program (CAP)

UGI's Customer Assistance Program (CAP) offers qualified, low income customers a more manageable monthly energy bill. Monthly payments are based on gross income, household size, and energy usage. Over time, customers' past debt to UGI can be forgiven following consistent program payments.

UGI Operation Share (OpShare)

UGI OpShare assists customers that have difficulties paying their gas and/or heating bill as a result of hardship and/or limited income through energy assistance grants, if available at the time of need. This program is supported by donations from UGI customers, employees, and UGI corporation.

LIHEAP (Low Income Heating Assistance Program)

LIHEAP helps families living with low income pay their heating bills. LIHEAP is a grant that offers assistance in the form of either (1) a cash grant sent directly to the utility company or (2) a crisis grant for households in immediate danger of being without heat.
