Why the Food Hub:

The CAA Food Hub is a cornerstone of food access in Union and Snyder Counties, designed not as a short-term response, but as a long-term solution to systemic gaps in how quality, nutritious food reaches our community.

Today, the Food Hub supports a network of food access programs across our region that serve thousands of households each year. It improves efficiency, reduces duplication, and makes better use of every donated dollar. But the same innovation that allows the Food Hub to respond during a crisis now requires reliable, long-term investment to remain strong.

Why stability matters:

The Food Hub was designed to solve problems that short-term food access models cannot. Stabilization ensures:

  • Consistent access to food, regardless of policy changes or economic disruption

  • Efficient coordination and reduced duplication across local food programs

  • Improved availability of fresh, nutritious food through proper storage and infrastructure

  • Responsible stewardship of resources, maximizing the impact of every donated dollar

  • A reliable backbone for community partners, strengthening the entire food access network

Without stable funding, even proven solutions remain vulnerable. With it, the Food Hub can continue to deliver long-term impact at scale.

Invest in a system that works:

Stabilizing the CAA Food Hub requires leadership-level support from individuals, businesses, and organizations committed to long-term solutions.

Leadership gifts provide the foundation that allows the Food Hub to plan ahead, respond effectively, and serve our community with consistency and care.
