EMERGENCY RENTAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAM (ERAP)

Are you eligible?

Eligible residents must have a household income at 80% or below the average median income (AMI) in their county.

Union and Snyder counties received a combined $9.8 million for direct emergency rental and utility assistance. Union-Snyder CAA is now processing applications to distribute this emergency funding for eligible residents.

​

This funding is provided by the Federal Consolidated Appropriations Act and the American Rescue Plan.  This program is administered by the Department of Human Services (DHS).

Eligibility

  • Eligible expenses include rent, utility, and home energy costs through this program.

  • Eligible households include those who have had a loss of employment, decrease in income, or have increased household costs relating to or due to COVID-19 whether directly or indirectly.

  • Income guidelines are 80% AMI for county of residency while prioritizing individuals who are facing eviction, have a utility shut off, or have no income.
