STEP (Self-Sufficiency Transportation Employment Program) is a transportation-to-work project of Union-Snyder CAA. We provide the following types of transportation ​assistance to eligible customers:

• Information and referrals to access rabbittransit to get to and from work

• Gas mileage reimbursement

• Help with buying a car

• Help with car repairs

• Help with transportation to child care

Participants must meet all of the following criteria to be eligible for STEP:

• Must be a resident of Union or Snyder County

• Must be the custodial parent of a dependent child under the age of 18

• Must be employed at least 20 hours per week

• Household must meet the income eligibility requirement (200% poverty)

• Must be willing to contribute a copay for service requested (i.e. car repairs, rabbittransit rides, car purchases, etc.)

STEP is a once-per-lifetime benefit for qualified households.
