The Supportive Housing Program is a 12 month transitional
housing program for homeless individuals and families. For the first
three months of participation, the rent is guaranteed to be paid by
Union-Snyder Community Action Agency. After three months, their budget is re-assessed to
see what they can put toward their rent, although it cannot exceed 30% of
their gross annual income. As part of participation in the program,
individuals are required to work with their case manager, attend 3
individualized life skills classes throughout the year, volunteer 2 hours
per month at a location of their choice, meet with the job developer, and
abide by their lease agreement.
